YWCA Cambridge

Eliminating Racism, Empowering Women

WHO WE ARE

The YWCA Cambridge is an institution in Cambridge Massachusetts, a cornerstone for providing safe, affordable accomodations for women and families and an advocate for human rights. With 103 units of single room occupancy housing for single women and a 10-bed shelter for homeless families, the YWCA is the city’s largest residential housing provider for women.

The YWCA Cambridge is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We are always looking for passionate active volunteers to help us with our programs and outreach efforts.

One example is the YWCA Girls Only Leadership Program (GOLD), a program for 8th grade girls. Volunteer women mentors are caring and responsible adults who can serve as friends and role models to the girls in the program aiding in their development of leadership skills.
